Arturo Muñoz is an experienced communications and external relations professional currently serving as the Communications & External Relations Manager at the Latino Education Advancement Foundation. Responsibilities include developing communication plans to enhance organizational visibility and engage diverse audiences. Muñoz is also a Fellow at the Latino Leadership Alliance and the New Leaders Council San Francisco, focusing on mobilizing the next generation of leaders. As the Founder and Marketing Manager of Varrio Voices, a platform for underrepresented community members, Muñoz successfully expanded the audience to over 6,000 downloads nationwide within the first year. Previous roles include Organizing Coordinator at SOMOS Mayfair, Executive Assistant at the Pilipino Workers Center of Southern California, and Communications Coordinator at Youth Alliance, among others. Muñoz holds a Bachelor's degree in Humanities and Communication with a concentration in Chicanx Studies from California State University, Monterey Bay.

Latino Education Advancement Foundation
LEAF's purpose is to increase college enrollment and persistence among low-income students attending East San José High Schools; to support systemic reform in the education system and to benefit all low-income students and to increase funding for all schools in East San José. We are currently comprised of four programs that prioritize academic success, parent engagement, and economic mobility for families that are experiencing systemic barriers alongside their first-generation student for the first time. We work to serve the socioeconomically disadvantaged Latino/Hispanic students of East San Jose through our support programming: 1. LEAF Center for College Success 2.
