Nancy Mejia

Chief Program Officer at Latino Health Access

Nancy Mejia has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations. Nancy started their career at the CUNY Institute for Health Equity in 2008, where they served as Deputy Director until 2010. In 2014, they joined Latino Health Access and held various roles, including Program Coordinator, Director of Community Engagement & Advocacy Programs, and currently serves as the Chief Program Officer. Additionally, they became a Board Member at THRIVE Santa Ana, Inc. in 2016. Most recently, in 2021, Nancy took on the role of Lecturer at UC Irvine.

Nancy Mejia's education history includes a bachelor's degree in Sociology and Latin America Studies, with a minor in Spanish, from UCLA. Nancy attended UCLA from 1998 to 2003. Later, they pursued a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree at Columbia University's School of Social Work from 2005 to 2008. Concurrently, from 2006 to 2008, Nancy also pursued a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree at Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health.
