Andrejs Bessonovs, PhD, has an extensive work experience in the field of economics. Andrejs started their career at the Ministry of Economy, Republic of Latvia, where they held the role of Senior Officer from September 2006 to November 2008. Andrejs then joined the Bank of Latvia as a Senior econometrician from December 2008 to June 2012. From July 2012 to April 2013, Andrejs worked as an Economist at the European Central Bank before returning to the Bank of Latvia as a Senior Econometrician from May 2013 to November 2014. Andrejs then joined the European Central Bank again as an Economist, specializing in the analysis and expertise on Estonia's economy, from December 2014 to May 2015. Since June 2015, Andrejs has been working as a Senior Research Economist at Latvijas Banka.

Andrejs Bessonovs, PhD completed their education in a structured manner, starting with their undergraduate studies. From 2006 to 2008, they attended Latvijas Universitate where they earned their Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Economics. Following this, they pursued further specialization and research in the field of Econometrics. From 2009 to 2014, Andrejs Bessonovs undertook their PhD studies at Latvijas Universitate, culminating in the successful completion of their doctoral degree in Econometrics.
