Aleksandrs Samuilovs has extensive experience in logistics and technical operations. Aleksandrs was the Head of Logistics for Latvijas Mobilais Telefons SIA, where they were responsible for procurement, inventory control, forecasting, warehousing, and transportation functions. Prior to that, they worked at airBaltic, starting as a Storekeeper and eventually becoming the Materials Manager. In this role, they led a team and established operational plans for material sourcing, supply, and delivery. Aleksandrs also managed budgets and implemented strategies to reduce risk and exposure. Before joining airBaltic, they worked as an Analytic Department Specialist at the State Revenue Service of Latvia, where they analyzed financial and economic activity for tax administration and control purposes.

Aleksandrs Samuilovs attended Riga Secondary School No.34 from 1989 to 2000. In 2003, they enrolled at RISEBA University and studied Economics and Business Administration there until 2007. Throughout their career, Aleksandrs has also obtained various certifications in different fields. In 2008, they completed a course in Management Fundamentals from Eiro Personāls and obtained a Fuel Tank Safety: LVL1 certification from airBaltic. In 2010, they received a Boeing 737-300/400/500 (CFM56-3) EASA Part-66 B1 certification from Riga Aeronautical Institute. In 2011, they completed courses in EASA Part M/Part 145 from FL Technics, Aircraft Maintenance and Repair Organization, and a Bombardier DHC-8 Q400 General Familiarization course from Widerøe. In 2013, they obtained a Leadership Development Program certificate from Consultatum. In 2015, they completed a Supply Chain Management course from Rīgas Ekonomikas augstskola - Stockholm School of Economics in Riga and received an IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (Cat.1) certification from the International Air Transport Association (IATA). In 2016, they obtained a Logistics Management certificate from Rigas Tehniska Universitate, an LISC Expert Certificate from the Latvian Packaging Certification Center (LISC), and completed The 7 Habits for Managers Program from FranklinCovey. Finally, in 2019, they obtained a 5G System Principles certification from Nokia, and in 2022, they completed a Lean methodology for improvement of procurement process program from iepirkumi.lv.
