Oskars Viksna

Oskars Viksna has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of IT. Oskars currently works as the Head of Solutions Development Division at Latvijas Mobilais Telefons SIA since June 2021. Prior to this role, they served as a System Architect at the same company from January 2021 to June 2021.

Before joining Latvijas Mobilais Telefons SIA, Oskars worked at Visma Labs as a Software Developer, Infrastructure Engineer, and Agile lead from September 2019 to January 2021. Oskars also held positions as a Software Developer and Infrastructure Engineer from October 2018 to September 2019, and as a Software Developer from May 2018 to October 2018.

In 2018, Oskars briefly worked as the CTO at Contextprime.

From 2011 to 2018, Oskars worked at IT PAKA as the Owner, where they provided outsourced IT services to various companies. Oskars'sresponsibilities included consulting, system setup and management, negotiations with suppliers, and a wide range of tasks related to Linux, Windows, and web development, among others.

Oskars also has experience as the Head of Database Software Development at Clusterpoint from August 2006 to October 2017, where they led development and maintenance processes and took care of system and network maintenance.

Oskars'searly career includes a role as a Software Developer at Lursoft IT from August 2003 to August 2006, where they were part of the team responsible for siets.lv, the first Latvian national search engine.

Throughout their career, Oskars Viksna has developed expertise in various technologies and areas such as software development, infrastructure engineering, agile methodologies, cloud services, database development, and system/network maintenance.

Oskars Viksna's education history begins with their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Latvijas Universitate, which they obtained from 2001 to 2005. Oskars then pursued further education and earned a Master's degree in Computer Science from the same university between 2005 and 2007. Following this, Oskars Viksna enrolled at Riga Business School to undertake a MiniMBA in Innovation Management, which they are expected to complete by the year 2023.
