Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult
Omar Ibrahim is an accomplished researcher in energy engineering with a focus on offshore renewable energy and hydrogen production. Currently serving as an Industrial PhD Research Fellow at Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult since May 2022, Omar is involved in the H2020 ITN STEP4WIND project. Previously, Omar held the same position at MaREI from November 2020 to April 2022. Other notable experiences include a Masterand role at the German Aerospace Center and internships at 50Hertz Transmission GmbH, KarmSolar, and SolarShams Co for New & Renewable Energies. Omar holds a Doctor of Philosophy from University College Cork, a Master of Science from Technische Universität Berlin, and a Bachelor of Science from Ain Shams University.
