Derek Hamre

Derek Hamre has a diverse work experience. Derek is currently employed as a Technical Sales Specialist at LaunchWorks CDMO since June 2021. Prior to this, Derek worked at Inanovate, Inc. where they held multiple roles. Derek started as a Product Development Intern in June 2018, where they were responsible for cartridge production and creating user specifications for a biological assay device. Derek then worked as a Biological Assay Development Intern, assisting with breast cancer research using Bio-ID Technology, from June 2019 to August 2019. Derek also served as a Business Intelligence Intern, analyzing competitive advantages of the company, from August 2019 to December 2019. Subsequently, they worked as a Market Analyst and Biotechnology Researcher, analyzing potential partnerships and assessing market dynamics from January 2020 to June 2020. In their last role at Inanovate, Derek was a Research Scientist from June 2020 to June 2021. Derek played a crucial role in assay development and quality management, significantly contributing to progress towards FDA submission. Before their employment at Inanovate, Derek worked at Augustana University as a Viking Advisor and Viking Guide, where they mentored and assisted first-year students in creating a positive living and working environment from August 2017 to December 2019.

Derek Hamre completed their high school education at Lincoln High School from 2012 to 2016. Derek obtained their High School Diploma during this period. Later, they pursued higher education at Augustana University (SD) from 2016 to 2020, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Biology and Business Administration. Furthermore, Derek Hamre also holds additional certifications in Mental Health First Aid from Mental Health First Aid Maryland and TIPS Training from Health Communications, Inc. (The TIPS Program).
