Mari Vuolteenaho

Mari Vuolteenaho is an accomplished professional in the fields of research, development, and innovation with extensive experience in higher education and engineering. As a current member of the Finnish Employee Invention Committee within the University Section since January 2022, Mari has played a significant role in promoting innovative initiatives. In the position of Vice President for Research, Development, and Innovation at Laurea University of Applied Sciences since August 2019, Mari has contributed to advancing academic pursuits. Prior roles at Aalto University included leading various research and innovation services, encompassing pre-award and post-award services, and project management. With a foundational background as a product design engineer at VTI Technologies and a researcher at Helsinki University of Technology, Mari holds a PhD in nanotechnology, polymer physics, and materials science from Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan.
