Jake Melville is a Director at Laurel Strategies. He has extensive experience in speechwriting and executive communication strategy, as well as a deep understanding of the principles of cross-cultural communication.
Previously, he served as the Speechwriter and Special Assistant to the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the United States, where he helped shape and develop the Ambassador’s messaging with the US public, media, and government counterparts, as well as advised on the Embassy’s overall communications strategy.
Prior to that, Jake taught English to elementary and middle school students in South Korea and contributed to a local English-language magazine. He also worked as a Speechwriting Associate at West Wing Writers.
Jake is a double graduate of the George Washington University’s Elliot School of International Affairs (B.A. 2008 & M.A. 2016).
