Mehdi Akhavan

Mehdi Akhavan is an accomplished data professional with extensive experience in data architecture, engineering, and governance. Currently serving as an Enterprise Data Architect at Laurentian Bank, Mehdi Akhavan plays a crucial role in designing an advanced analytical platform on Azure Databricks Lakehouse and developing enterprise data architecture principles. Prior to this, at Tata Consultancy Services, Mehdi Akhavan led the migration of on-premise data warehouses to Azure Synapse and guided a team in data integration and ETL processes. Experience also includes significant contributions to the SickKids Foundation in data quality and analytical reporting, maintaining SQL Server databases at Smilegate West, and performing data-centric roles at various organizations, including Zravand Computer Company and Roshana ICT Co, where Mehdi Akhavan demonstrated a strong foundation in both technical implementation and strategic data management.
