Shashi Bala Prasad

Shashi Bala Prasad is an accomplished professional in biotechnology and program management, currently serving as Director of R&D at Laurus Bio since May 2023. Previously, Shashi held the position of Associate Director for Program Management at Perfect Day, where responsibilities included project management and stakeholder engagement. With a strong foundation in research and development, Shashi has worked as a Principal Scientist at IIT Madras, leading the establishment of the Early Translation Accelerator Program and managing the IIT Madras Bioincubator. Earlier roles include Senior Scientist positions at IIT Madras and Evolva Biotech, focusing on metabolic engineering and the development of biosimilars. Shashi holds a PhD in Biotechnology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, and a PG Diploma in Patent Law.
