I Karthik

Karthik has experience working in various roles in the steel and power industry. I worked at JSW Steel as an Assistant Manager and Junior Manager from November 2018 to June 2023. Prior to that, they were an Assistant Environmental Engineer at Minera Steel & Power Pvt. Ltd. from August 2016 to October 2018. Karthik also completed internships at JSW Steel, where they worked on projects related to environmental management and improvement of fly ash for cement production. I recently joined Laurus Labs Limited as a Corporate Sustainability Lead in June 2023.

I Karthik completed a Master of Technology (MTech) degree in Environmental/Environmental Health Engineering from Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering, Mysore (QIP Centre) from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University from 2010 to 2014. Additionally, I Karthik has obtained several certifications in various fields, including EcoVadis Practitioner, Environmental Reporting, Environmental Policy, Introduction to ESG, Finance Foundations: Corporate Governance, Learning Design for Sustainability, Sustainability Strategies, Sustainability for Design, Construction, and Manufacturing, The Employee's Guide to Sustainability, Current Trends in Steel Production for Pipe Making, Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH), Safety Champions Program, High Risk Standard - Lock Out Tag Out, High Risk Standard - Permit to Work, High Risk Standard - Personal Protective Equipment, High Risk Standard - Working at Height, and Waste Management.
