Victoria Iglesias

Associate Director Preclinical at Lava Therapeutics B.V.

Victoria Iglesias has worked in various roles since 2004. Victoria began as a Bsc student at Facultad de Medicina - UdelaR in 2004. In 2007, they became a PhD Fellow at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, where they conducted research on the regulation of cellular resistance mechanisms to apoptosis induced by TNFa in the nervous system and the molecular mechanisms regulating the final steps induced by the activation of DFF40/CAD endonuclease during apoptotic cell death. In 2013, they moved to The Netherlands Cancer Institute as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist, where they studied anti-tumor immune responses induced by (conventional) radio- and chemotherapy, and T cell-based immunotherapy regimens, investigated mechanisms by which cell death modalities affect tumor-specific T cell responses, and identified novel key molecules in dendritic cells which could influence CD4+ T cell priming. Finally, in 2019, they joined Lava Therapeutics B.V. as a Senior Scientist.

Victoria Iglesias obtained their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Neuroscience from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona between 2007 and 2011. Victoria also obtained their Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from the Universidad de la República between 1999 and 2006.
