Xichen Zhang

Xichen Zhang has worked for a variety of companies since 2010. Xichen began as a Research Associate at Nanyang Technological University in 2010, then went on to be a Ph.D. Researcher and Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Twente from 2012 to 2017. In 2017, they became an Assay Development Engineer at Handheld Diagnostics, A Philips Healthcare Incubator. From 2018 to 2019, they worked as a Clinical and Epidemiology Scientist for GSK's Future Leaders Programme Vaccines R&D and as a Scientific Researcher for RegMed XB. Xichen is currently working as a Scientist, Bioanalytical Project Lead for Genmab and will soon be an Associate Director Bioanalytical Assays for LAVA Therapeutics N.V.

Xichen Zhang obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Applied Chemistry from Wuhan University in 2009. Xichen then pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Nanomedicine at Newcastle University from 2009 to 2010. After that, they completed a Ph.D. in Biotechnology at the University of Twente in 2017, with a focus on the Development of point-of-care bioassays for blood diagnostics. In addition, Xichen Zhang has obtained several certifications, including Project Management from Schouten & Nelissen in 2022, Good Laboratory Practice for Study Directors from the Research Quality Association (RQA) in 2019, Responsible care and use of fish for scientific purposes from the National University of Singapore in 2011, and Responsible care and use of laboratory animals from the National University of Singapore in 2011.
