Firm Overview: The Georgia Eminent Domain Law Firm, a highly regarded law firm specializing in real estate and property law, is seeking an experienced and motivated Eminent Domain Attorney to join our team. Our firm provides legal representation to property owners, businesses, and government entities in cases of eminent domain, land condemnation, and related litigation matters. We are committed to providing excellent legal services and advocating for the rights of property owners.

Position Overview: As an Eminent Domain Attorney, you will handle a variety of legal matters involving the government’s power to take private property for public use. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Georgia’s eminent domain laws, experience with property valuation disputes, and the ability to advocate for fair compensation for clients.  The ideal candidate will also demonstrate a desire to market to affected property owners, including taking potential client phone calls and other business development activities.

We're Looking for Someone Who:

  • Is currently licensed to practice law in Georgia
  • Has at least 3-5+ years of experience as an attorney in GA (preferred practice areas: Eminent Domain, Civil Litigation, or related)
  • Has a demonstrated interest and knowledge in eminent domain law,
  • Displays strength using evidence in negotiations by phone, email or in mediation
  • Is a polished and skilled speaker with residential, business and commercial property owners
  • Background in property valuation or working with expert witnesses.
  • Demonstrated interest or ability to market to the public through fielding potential client calls, site visits or speaking engagements
  • Is a self-starter, is able to prioritize the workload, and has a strong work ethic

What The Day Looks Like:

  • Speaking to prospective new clients about the many ways we add value to their potential case
  • Reading and analyzing offers, appraisals, and project plans related to eminent domain cases and projects
  • Appearing in court and attending mediations as needed
  • Negotiating and resolving eminent domain cases through settlement and closing or litigation
  • Supervising a paralegal and directing their work
