Delaney Hooper is an experienced educator currently serving as a G5/6 Teacher at Lawrence Family Development Charter School since February 2023, teaching Math and Science across Tier I - IV and participating on the Curriculum Committee. Prior experience includes working as a Rehabilitation Nursing Technician at Encompass Health, focusing on neurorehabilitation for traumatic brain injuries, strokes, and Parkinson's disease, and as a Resource Coordinator at the University of Massachusetts Boston, where Delaney developed programs to support students facing food, housing, or financial insecurity. Delaney also held roles as a Photographer for UMass Boston, fulfilling photo requests and creating artwork for articles, and as a Direct Support Professional at Bridgewell, ensuring the well-being of clients with disabilities. Early experience as a Lifeguard at Water Country involved maintaining CPR and First Aid proficiency. Delaney holds a Bachelor's degree in Cognitive Science from UMass Boston.

The Lawrence Family Development Charter School (LFDCS) is under the blanket of the Lawrence Family Development and Education Fund, Inc (LFDEF): a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The LFDCS is a K-8 charter school institution serving the local community's youth. In addition, the LFDEF provides a citizenship program, job training, ESL, and a YouthBuild partnership. The school's Mission Statement is “Strong families, working in partnership with the school as advocates for academic achievement, will create an environment where every child has the opportunity to acquire the foundation skills and habits of mind that foster life-long learning, citizenship participation, and personal fulfillment.”
