Christopher Land

Christopher Land currently serves as General Counsel at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, where responsibilities include providing strategic advice for a $3.1 billion annual budget focused on national security, protecting intellectual property, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Previously, Christopher held the position of Overseer at Sea Education Association from June 2017 to December 2023, and served as General Counsel and Vice President for Business and Legal Affairs at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, managing legal matters for an organization with a $230 million budget and significant global activities. Additional experience includes leadership roles at EOM Offshore, LLC, and various positions at law firms including Goodwin Procter LLP, DLA Piper, and Clifford Chance LLP, specializing in complex litigation and legal strategy. Christopher Land earned a Doctor of Law from Tulane University Law School and a Bachelor of Arts from San Francisco State University.
