Katie Schaper

Katie Schaper is a seasoned professional in government affairs and policy analysis, currently serving as a Program Manager in the Office of Government and External Affairs at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory since March 2023. Prior to this role, Katie worked as a Policy Analyst in the Office of International Affairs at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security from October 2019 to March 2023, and as a Sanctions Compliance Assistant in the Office of Foreign Assets Control at the U.S. Department of the Treasury from August 2018 to October 2019. Previous experiences include an internship with the Atlantic Council's Future Europe Initiative, a political internship at the U.S. Embassy in Belgrade, and a programs internship with the Women's Foreign Policy Group. Katie holds a Bachelor's degree in International Studies from American University and has studied at the University of Belgrade and Saint Petersburg State University.
