Tom Simon

Tom Simon is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in manufacturing engineering and race team management. Currently serving as the Manufacturing Engineering Coordinator and Team Lead at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory since January 1993, Tom Simon has played a pivotal role in planning work, job routing, and interfacing with internal customers to deliver complex optics under challenging specifications. Prior to this, Tom Simon owned and operated Simon Racing from 1985 to 2011, where responsibilities included building NHRA drag racing cars, managing logistics, and serving as Race Director for the National Auto Sport Association's VW Drag Racing Series. Educational background includes a Journeyman Machinist Graduate from the LLNL Machinist Apprenticeship program and an Associate of Arts in Machine Tool Technology from Diablo Valley College.
