Bob Warther has extensive work experience in project management, engineering, and construction. Bob has held several leadership positions throughout their career. From 2016 onwards, they worked at Lawrence Livermore National Security as the Project Management, Engineering, and Construction Department Head. Here, they developed project execution organizations, implemented project management protocols, and created project planning templates. Prior to that, they served as the Vice President of Business Operations at B&W starting in 2014. Bob was also the Deputy Manager of the American Centrifuge Demonstration Project at B&W Technical Services Group from 2012 to 2014, where they worked on a government-private partnership project to manufacture and operate uranium enrichment centrifuges. Additionally, they were the Vice President of Environmental Management at B&W Y-12 LLC from 2009 to 2012, leading nuclear facility closure projects and managing waste disposal operations. Bob also worked at Parsons as the Vice President of Environmental Remediation and Deputy Manager of Newport Chemical Depot from 2008 to 2009, where they oversaw the decommissioning and demolition of an Army chemical weapons plant. From 2003 to 2008, they had roles at the U.S. Department of Energy, including Yucca Mountain License Application Manager and Manager of the Ohio Field Office, where they led efforts to deliver the License Application and complete the closure of nuclear cleanup sites. Bob started their career at DNFSB as the Rocky Flats Site Representative from 1991 to 1998.
Bob Warther has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University. Bob also holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance, General from The Citadel. Additionally, they have a Master of Science (MS) degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Virginia Tech. In 1987, they obtained a certification as a Professional Engineer in Mechanical from the Commonwealth of Virginia.
