Alex Rock

Alex Rock currently serves as Principal at Lawrence Public Schools since July 2019 and has a diverse background in educational leadership. Previous roles include Senior Leader-In-Residence at Phoenix Charter Academy Network, Acting Assistant Principal at UP Education Network, and Principal at UNO Charter School Network, where under Alex Rock’s leadership, a school achieved a Level 1+ School Quality Rating Policy and the highest historical USCN composite growth. Earlier experience includes serving as Assistant Principal and Founding Teacher at Catalyst Maria Charter School, and Lead Teacher at Urban Prep Academies, focusing on college readiness standards in science and mathematics. Alex Rock began a career in education as a Corps Member with Teach For America. Academic credentials include a Master of Arts in Urban Education and Leadership from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a Bachelor's of Science in Education with a focus on Chemistry from The University of Kansas.
