Earlier professional roles include serving as an Associate at Cornell & Gollub, where Kara focused on products liability and insurance coverage, and as a Judicial Law Clerk for the State of Rhode Island. Kara's career began in the maritime sector, working as a Captain for Sayville Ferry Service. Kara holds a Juris Doctor degree from Tulane University Law School and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Psychology from Stony Brook University.
