Cristina Orsini is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in human rights advocacy and project management. Currently serving as a Senior Programmes Advisor at Lawyers for Justice in Libya, Cristina focuses on accountability for gross human rights violations in the region. Previously, as a Senior Programme Officer at DefendDefenders, Cristina led projects related to the Pan-African Human Rights Defenders Network, emphasizing research, capacity building, and advocacy for human rights defenders across Africa. Cristina co-founded Thraedable, a social enterprise promoting grassroots human rights organizations, and has held various roles in communication and research for organizations including UNICEF and UNPO. Academic credentials include a Master's degree in International Security, Human Rights, and Middle East Studies from Sciences Po, supplemented by a diploma in International Criminal Law.

LFJL is a non-governmental organisation and charity, incorporated for the public benefit in order to defend and promote human rights in Libya. LFJL was established in response to the 17 February 2011 uprising in Libya. We exist, work for, and are passionate about the promotion of justice, human rights, and democracy in Libya. We seek to promote and nurture the legal profession and civil society in Libya.
