Johan Fourie has a diverse work experience in the field of industrial design. Johan started their career as a Freelance Designer at Scarab Design in 2009, where they worked on various projects including designing and building the Red Bull head office. In 2012, Johan joined Outline as an Industrial Designer, specializing in designing, manufacturing, and custom-building point of sale products for clients. Johan was responsible for generating fresh ideas, creating prototypes, and working with different materials. Later in 2012, Johan moved to Uss Graphics, where they focused on designing and developing retail designs such as packaging, display stands, and custom designs. Johan gained experience in the entire manufacturing and designing process. In 2013, Johan joined Rocketfuel Design as an Industrial Designer, where they were involved in concept development, engineering, prototype development, and communication with manufacturers. Johan also presented design concepts to clients. Since 2017, Johan has been working at Laxton and has served as an Industrial Designer before transitioning to the role of Creative Director in 2019.
Johan Fourie completed their secondary education at Langenhoven Gimnasium from 2001 to 2005. Afterward, they pursued further studies at Cape Peninsula University of Technology from 2008 to 2011, where they earned a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Industrial and Product Design.
