John Gillan

John Gillan is the General Manager of Laybuy UK & Europe. John has over 20 years of experience in sales and marketing, with a focus on technology companies. John has been with Laybuy since February 2017.

Previously, John was the Vice President of Europe at Criteo, a technology company with more than 2k employees operating in 27 offices across the globe. At Criteo, John was responsible for managing a team of seven Country Directors and the overall P&L across Europe. John was also responsible for the go-to-market strategy across Criteo's largest enterprise clients in Europe.

During their time at Criteo, John was promoted to lead a team of Managing Directors across Europe at the beginning of the pandemic. John successfully guided the team through a re-organisation, employing RAPID / RACI frameworks and a new incentive model to successfully migrate to a new matrix structure.

Some of John's key achievements include delivering a more agile and virtual go to market approach across sales, marketing and operations, and achieving high employee engagement levels, exceptional manager survey scores and higher Net promoter Scores with clients.

John Gillan has a BSc Hons in Marketing from Aston University. John also has a certification from The University of Edinburgh in Post grad certificate. Lastly, they have a certification from CIM | The Chartered Institute of Marketing in Chartered Institute of Marketing.
