Brendan Owens has held various positions in the software engineering and IT industry since 2015. In 2015, they began their career as an Information Technology Intern at Union Pacific Railroad, where they gained experience in languages such as AngularJS, JavaScript, Java, HTML, and CSS. In 2016, they started as a Support Intern at Buildertrend, where they became familiar with BuilderTrend's software product and provided support to users across the globe. Brendan also worked as a Software Engineer at FARMAFIELD, where they oversaw four developers to build FarmAfield's customer-facing web application and internal tools. In 2017, Brendan worked as a Campus Representative at Apple. In 2019, they became a Co-Founder of Planline, a project management software for professional wedding planners. Most recently, in 2020, they began working as a Software Engineer at Layer, a flexible data management tool for buildings.

Brendan Owens attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln from 2016 to 2020, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering with a minor in Business. Prior to that, they attended Creighton Preparatory School from 2012 to 2016, where they graduated with Highest Honors and earned 49 transferrable college credit hours.
