Zhaoyan Liu

Zhaoyan Liu is an ML Scientist at Layer 6 AI since May 2022, previously serving as an ML Research Intern. Prior experience includes a role as a Research and Development Engineer at ByteDance in the AI Lab, focusing on projects within the computer vision group, as well as an internship in the same lab. Zhaoyan also completed a graduate project on video interpolation at MEGVII, mentored by Dr. Pengfei Xiong, and worked as a Research & Engineer Intern at Microsoft, where mentoring was provided by Dr. Jin-Ge Yao and Tao Wu on data mining for Office365 Forms Insights. Zhaoyan's early research experience includes an internship at Peking University under Dr. Yongtao Wang. Zhaoyan holds a Master of Science in Applied Computing from the University of Toronto and an undergraduate degree in Computer Science from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications.
