Tony Alston

Tony Alston is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in controls systems and software engineering. Currently serving as a Controls Systems Engineer at Layline Automation, Inc. since May 2023, Tony focuses on testing and documenting SCADA control systems for Electric Utilities. Prior experience includes working as a Software Engineer at EnerSys Corporation, where responsibilities included developing Site Acceptance Test plans and cybersecurity documentation. Tony has also held roles such as SCADA Systems Developer at Parsley Energy, Certified SCADA Analyst III at Holly Energy Partners, and Team Lead at Washington TRU Solutions, LLC. Additionally, Tony has a background in emergency medical services as an EMT with the New Mexico Department of Health and has held various firefighting leadership positions. Tony holds degrees in Business Management and Emergency Medicine, along with a background in drafting and design engineering.
