Stephen Smith

CFO & VP of Accounting at LBA Hospitality

Stephen brings with him a wealth of accounting experience to lead LBA’s companies towards financial success. Inspired each day by the company’s family culture, Stephen guides his team by sticking to the LBA philosophy of good morals, high standards, and always expecting the best from everyone.

Stephen began his accounting career at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, Alabama, where he was a staff accountant for the Home Health/Durable Medical Equipment division. He became Controller of the division and worked there for 10 years before it was sold to Wiregrass Hospice. He remained as Controller for two years, after which Wiregrass Hospice was sold to a publicly traded company in 2004. As a licensed CPA, Stephen used the opportunity to transition to a local accounting firm, where he worked for seven years before joining LBA.

In his current role at LBA, Stephen manages all accounting and financial functions across LBA’s companies and IT department. By closely monitoring and tracking day-to-day financial reports, he is able to devise and execute a successful financial plan for future development projects and the ongoing growth of LBA.

Away from the office, Stephen enjoys traveling, reading, running and spending time with his wife and two daughters. He also spends a lot of time outdoors on his farm, where he raises Quarter Horses and cattle.
