Joe Martin

Joe Martin is an experienced professional in public policy, communications, and government relations, currently serving as County Administrator for Le Sueur County since May 2021. Previously, Martin held the position of State Executive Director at USDA Minnesota Farm Service Agency, overseeing farm programs and loan initiatives from November 2017 to January 2021. As President of Martin+Co, LLC, from October 2015 to November 2017, Martin focused on agriculture and food public relations, project management, and government relations. Earlier roles included Communications Manager at DuPont Pioneer, President of Rural Strategies, LLC, and Assistant Commissioner at the Minnesota Department of Agriculture. Martin's career began at the Minnesota Farm Bureau Federation and included work with the American Farm Bureau Federation on federal farm policy. Joe Martin holds a BA in Communications and Political Science from the University of Minnesota.
