Colleen Adams Carney, SPHR

Colleen Adams Carney, SPHR has over 20 years of experience in the field of Human Resources. Colleen Adams began their career in 1986 working as the Peoples, Inc. Executive and Senior Vice President of Lending, Operations, Retail, and Human Resources at Peoples Bank. In 2002, they moved on to Sturm Financial Group as the Senior Vice President of Operations at ANB Bank. In 2004, Carney became the Senior Business and Human Resources Consultant at Carney & Associates. Finally, in 2005, they joined Employers Council as a Senior HR Consultant. In this role, Carney was responsible for consulting work on member sites for the not-for-profit Employers Association. Her primary contributions included interim human resource senior management roles, strategic planning and organizational alignment projects, HRIS implementation, confidential employee satisfaction and exit interviews, and performance management and compensation planning. In addition, they have served as a Board of Director on one for-profit organization and three not-for-profit organizations.

Colleen Adams Carney, SPHR, has an extensive education history. Colleen Adams obtained a BSBA in Business Administration from the University of Northern Colorado between 1975 and 1979. Colleen Adams then went on to obtain a Masters Level degree from the Pacific Coast Banking School between 1996 and 1998. In addition to their educational background, Carney has obtained three certifications. Colleen Adams is a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certified by the HR Certification Institute - HRCI in August 2018, a True Colors Certified Consultant certified by True Colors International in February 2010, and a Duolingo certification.
