Roel van der Knoop has extensive work experience across various companies and roles. Roel started their career in 2005 at Proteq Insurances, where they worked as an Outbound employee, handling administration, outbound sales, and drafting quotes. In 2011, they joined Albert Heijn as a Teamleader, responsible for leading a team of colleagues and handling HR duties. Roel continued in a similar role until 2013 when they joined OGD ict-diensten as a Secondment agency employee, working as a Global ServiceDesk officer for Belden. In 2016, they joined LeadDesk as a Customer Support Specialist, providing technical support for the company's contact center solution. Roel later progressed to become a Team lead technical customer support, leading an international team and guiding them through the company's IPO and joining Nasdaq Nordic. Roel was awarded the company's 2019 Founder's award for their accomplishments. Currently, they hold the position of Customer Care Manager at LeadDesk, and starting in 2022, they became the Business Consultant Manager.

Roel van der Knoop's education history includes several experiences. In 2015, they attended Laajasalon Opisto and obtained a Finnish A2.2 degree in the field of Finnish language. From 2006 to 2009, they pursued pre-master courses in MBA at Nyenrode Business University. Roel also attended Inholland University of Applied Sciences for an unspecified period, where they studied towards a BBA degree. Additionally, Roel van der Knoop completed their VWO (secondary education) with a focus on "Economics and Society" at Jan Arentsz.
