Thinus Trentelman has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. Thinus currently holds the position of Engineering Director at LeadEPC, where they started in July 2022. Prior to that, they briefly served as the Head of Department (Civil Structural Engineering) at LeadEPC from May 2022 to July 2022.

Before joining LeadEPC, Trentelman worked at EPF Engineering Consulting as the Director and Structural Engineer from April 2021 to May 2022.

Thinus Trentelman completed their education in a chronological order. Thinus started their education in 2010 at Transvalia High School, where they obtained a National Senior Certificate (NSC) in Secondary Education in 2014.

After completing high school, Thinus enrolled at Edith Cowan University from 2015 to 2018, earning a Bachelor of Engineering Honours (BEngHons) in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering.

In 2020, they pursued a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Project Management at the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria. This program focused on Quantitative Project Portfolio Risk Management and concluded in 2021.

Thinus then furthered their education at Stellenbosch Business School, where they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Finance and Economics. This program commenced in 2022 and is expected to conclude in 2023.

In addition to their academic achievements, Thinus has obtained certifications to advance their professional qualifications. Thinus became a Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) after receiving accreditation from the Engineering Council of South Africa in July 2023. Furthermore, in December 2021, they became an Associate Member of the South African Institution of Civil Engineering (SAICE).
