Abas Hersi is a Software Engineer at Meta since June 2024, previously serving as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at the Ubiquitous Computing Lab from September 2021 to September 2023. At the lab, Abas enhanced pulse oximeter performance for diverse skin tones, utilized Computer Vision for predicting hexanoic acid content from stool samples, and co-developed the Trailblazer tool for quantitative satellite studies.
