Steven Francisco has a diverse work experience in the field of technology and education. Steven has held positions at Leadership for Educational Equity, where they served as the Vice President of Technology, focusing on designing and developing innovative solutions to address structural inequities in civic leadership. Steven has also worked as the Senior Director of Technology Labs at the same organization, developing custom software and research solutions to promote educational equity. Steven gained experience as the President of Innovation Teaching, an education software solutions provider that prioritizes data-driven decision making for teachers. Additionally, Steven has served as a Director of Technology Labs and a Teacher at different educational institutions. Steven has also worked as a Career Advisor at Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs and as a Program Manager at Ella Baker Center for Human Rights.

Steven Francisco attended the Bronx High School of Science from 1992 to 1996. Steven then went on to Columbia University from 1996 to 2000, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Latino Studies. Later, from 2001 to 2002, they pursued a Master's degree in Public Administration (MPA) with a focus on Non-Profit Management at Syracuse University. In 2003, they enrolled at the City University of New York-Herbert H. Lehman College and completed their Master of Education (MEd) degree in Urban Education and Leadership in 2005.
