Rick Tyler is a seasoned political professional with extensive experience in communications and leadership training. Currently serving as the Director of the Advanced School of Politics at the Leadership Institute since March 2022, Rick specializes in developing conservative leaders through comprehensive training in various political disciplines. Concurrently, Rick provides a conservative perspective as a Political Analyst for MSNBC and leads Foundry Strategies as President, a consulting firm focused on communications strategy for clients. Previous roles include On Air Host at Sirius XM Radio, Director of Communications for Cruz for President, Vice President of Communications at The Strategy Group Company, Press Secretary for Newt Gingrich, and Executive Director of the Maine Republican Party. Rick's expertise encompasses campaign management, media training, public speaking, and message development.

Leadership Institute
Founded in 1979 by its president, Morton C. Blackwell, LI provides training in campaigns, fundraising, grassroots organizing, youth politics, and communications. The Institute teaches conservatives of all ages how to succeed in politics, government, and the media. The Institute offers 47 types of training schools, workshops, and seminars; a free employment placement service; and a national field program that trains conservative students to organize campus groups. Since 1979, LI has trained more than 230,000 conservative activists, leaders, and students. The Institute's unique college campus network has grown to more than 1,700 conservative campus groups and newspapers.
