Hildur Jakobína Gisladóttir has worked in a variety of roles since 2002. In 2017, they became the Regional Director for Vinnumálastofnun Suðurnesjum and a Leadership Management International trainer for Leadership Management International, Inc. From 2014 to 2017, they were the Manager/Owner of Officium Consultancy ehf, providing services in the field of work psychology, management and communications. From 2013 to 2017, they were the Framkvæmdastjóri og Ráðgjafi for Heilbrigðir Stjórnarhættir, providing advice on workplace bullying and mobbing. From 2011 to 2013, they were the Félagsmálastjóri and Framkvæmdastjóri Félagsþjónustu Stranda- og Reykhólahrepps for Strandabyggð. From 2007 to 2011, they were the Forstöðumaður for Kópavogsbær, responsible for the financial and professional responsibility of the department. From 2002 to 2013, they were the Stofnandi og Formaður of Litlir Englar Félag, a company dedicated to those who have lost a child in pregnancy, childbirth or after childbirth. Hildur Jakobína also provided advice on the Facebook page and held seminars on workplace bullying.

Hildur Jakobína Gisladóttir has a long and varied educational history. Hildur Jakobína began their studies in 1996 at the University of Amsterdam, where they earned a Staatsexam Dutch 1996. Hildur Jakobína then moved on to the James Boswell Instituut Utrecht to study Dutch in 1996-1997. In 1998-2000, they studied Psychology at Utrecht University. Following this, they attended Háskóli Íslands in 2000-2005 to pursue a degree in Psychology. From 2005-2007, they attended Reykjavik University and earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in HR and Finance. In 2010, they earned a Diploma in Executive Coaching from Reykjavik University. Finally, they are currently enrolled in London Metropolitan University, where they are pursuing a master in behavioral and organizational psychology in the field of Industrial and Organizational Psychology.
