Tina Barton

Director at Leadership Oakland

Tina Barton is currently the Director at Leadership Oakland. Tina has also served as the Senior Program Advisor at the U.S. Election Assistance Commission from March 2021 to June 2022. Tina has also been involved with various other companies, such as Crossroads for Youth, Oakland County Clerks Association, and Michigan Association of Municipal Clerks. From December 2019 to December 2020, they served as the Past-President of Oakland County Clerks Association. During their time with Michigan Association of Municipal Clerks, they were responsible for overseeing the 2014 Education Committee and planned education sessions for events such as Free Education Day, Clerk's Institute, Master's Institute, and Annual Conference. Tina has also been very active in their role as the Clerk for City of Rochester Hills from January 2013 to March 2021, where they were appointed by the United States Conference of Mayors to EAC Board of Advisors, appointed by SOS Benson to Election Security Commission, and appointed by IIMC to the Education Task Force. Tina was also a panelist for Election Verification Network Conference and a presenter for G2G Marketplace Conference and "Making Every Vote Count: A Practical Guide to Risk-Limiting Audits". In 2018, they piloted Michigan's first Risk Limiting Audit and presented at MAMC Clerk's Institute & Annual Conference. In 2017, they were named a Leader of Leaders - Public Service by Leadership Oakland and implemented Electronic Death Registry. Tina was also a guest speaker at various events, such

Tina Barton holds a Master of Arts in Management and Leadership from Liberty University. Tina is also certified by the Michigan Association of Municipal Clerks as a Certified Michigan Municipal Clerk and by the International Institute of Municipal Clerks as a Master Municipal Clerk.
