Gigi Patrick

Dr. Gigi Patrick currently serves as the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources for the Vallejo City Unified School District. She has been in the field of Education for 29 years. She began her career as a teacher eventually becoming a Vice Principal, Principal, Director, Chief of HR, before assuming the position as Assistant Superintendent. In her role as Assistant Superintendent, she is primarily responsible for the oversight, coordination, and administering of all personnel systems, including assuring compliance with District rules, Board policies, State and Federal labor laws, Education code, Employer & Employee relations, all Legal employee matters, investigations, monitoring of staffing ratios/allocations, effective evaluations, and procedures. Gigi also serves as Chief Negotiator for the District in contract negotiations with bargaining teams representing Labor Unions. She is an Executive Cabinet member, who advises and reports to the Superintendent. Gigi has had an extensive role in Educational Administration, through her work in the Association of California School Administrators, where she represented the State ACSA board as the Membership Service Chair for Region 4 and locally as the Vice President of Legislative Action and President of the Vallejo School Managers Association. In 2016, she was recognized as ACSA’s Central Office Manager of the year. She is a member of the Vallejo Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. and the NAACP. Gigi has been with the Vallejo City Unified School District for 26 years, where she maintains positive relationships and continues to support the district through modeling, mentoring, and advocacy for students, staff, and the entire district community.
