Nicolai Aarkrog has worked in a variety of roles since 2009. From 2009 to 2011, they worked as a Sales Representative for Peugeot Fausing and as a Salesperson for 5R Marketing. In 2011, they began working for Telia Company as a Sales Advisor, a role they held for five years. In 2014, they were the Marketing- og Salgsansvarlig for Smag Aarhus, where they developed the social media and content strategy and handled online sales of banner-ads, advertorials and sponsorships. In 2017, they became the Digital Account Manager at Adservice A/S, providing advice to clients about affiliate marketing opportunities and optimizing and developing online marketing campaigns. Since 2019, they have been working for Playable (formerly Leadfamly) in various roles, including Regional Sales Manager, Team Lead, Enterprise Manager, and Senior Client Manager. In their role as Enterprise Manager, they helped marketing organisations be more effective in their communication through gamification and explored new revenue streams.

Nicolai Aarkrog attended Aarhus University from 2013 to 2016 and earned a degree in Marketing and Management Communication with a focus on Marketing and management communication. Prior to that, they attended Højere Handels Eksamen, Viby from 2008 to 2011 and earned a degree in International handel.
