Taha Keilani has extensive work experience in the field of medical and regulatory affairs. taha has served as the Chief Medical Officer at Leadiant Biosciences, Inc. since 2016, where they led and directed the company's global clinical regulatory strategy for rare disease products. Prior to that, from 2008 to 2016, they held the same position at Sigma-Tau Pharmaceuticals, Inc., where they built and managed the Clinical Development Department and played an important role in due diligence, transition, and integration teams.
taha also served as the Vice President of Medical and Regulatory Affairs at avant immunotherapeutics, Inc. from 2004 to 2008. During their tenure, they concurrently headed and managed three departments and ran the Clinical Development program for various vaccines and immunotherapy projects.
Before that, Taha worked as a Medical Director at Serono S.A. (Biotechnology / Pharmaceuticals) from 2000 to 2004, and as an Associate Medical Director at Fujisawa Healthcare Inc from 1996 to 2000. Additionally, they gained experience as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Northwestern University - Medical School from 1992 to 1996, and as a Research Fellow at Northwestern University from 1987 to 1991, specializing in nephrology.
Taha Keilani has a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Aleppo University. taha also pursued a Fellowship in Nephrology and Hypertension at Northwestern University.
