Saya Powell

Managing Director, Organizational Effectiveness at Leading Educators

Saya Powell has extensive work experience in the education sector. Saya started their career at Teach For America in 2004, where they held various roles such as Operations Coordinator, Director of Institute Operations, and Director of Operations Training. In 2013, Saya joined Interac as an Assistant Language Teacher for a year. Saya then returned to Teach For America in 2014 as the Managing Director of Strategy, Talent, and Operations. After two years, in 2016, Saya moved to Leading Educators, where they took on roles such as Associate Director of Events and Operations, Associate Director of People and Culture, and Director of People and Culture. Saya's most recent position at Leading Educators is as the Managing Director of Organizational Effectiveness, which they assumed in February 2022.

Saya Powell attended Trinity University from 2000 to 2004 where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree. Saya'sfield of study included International/Global Studies and Spanish. Additionally, Saya obtained a certification as an Associate Diversity Coach from the CoachDiversity Institute in June 2022.
