Nikhil Goyal is the VP of Data & Analytics at LeafLink. Nikhil has over 9 years of experience in data science and customer analytics. Nikhil has a deep understanding of how to use data to drive business decisions and improve customer retention.

Nikhil started their career at Macy's as a Senior Manager of Customer Analytics. Nikhil was responsible for combining data science and marketing expertise to advise customer strategies. Nikhil also influenced assortment, marketing and distribution decisions to make the business more customer focused. Some of their notable projects include creating a predictive customer churn model to address erosion of the customer base and recommending strategic actions for growth of business divisions based on customer KPIs and shopping behavior.

In 2016, Nikhil left Macy's to join Gartner as a Senior Director of Data Science. In this role, they led data science for Gartner's Digital Strategy Benchmarking suite of products. Nikhil also managed and grew a team of data scientists who partnered closely with content writers, engineers and client advisors across multiple sectors. Nikhil was responsible for deploying end-to-end Machine Learning Pipelines for data enrichment of unstructured data using many classification algorithms & APIs (Scikit-Learn, Spark Mlib, Google ML). Nikhil also collaborated with cross-functional product teams of engineers, product leads and strategists. Nikhil was an analytical thought leader and data expert on E-Commerce & Google Search research by Gartner for Marketers.

In December 2019, Nikhil left Gartner to join LeafLink as the VP of Data & Analytics.

Nikhil Goyal has a background in Applied Machine Learning from Columbia Engineering, an MBA in Marketing from MICA | The School of Ideas, and a Bachelors of Business Management in General Management & Marketing from Bangalore University. Nikhil also has a certification in Google Analytics Individual Qualification from Google, a certification in Computing for Data Analysis using R from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, a certification in Customer Analytics from Wharton Online | The Wharton School, and certifications in Interactive Programming in Python and Programming for Everybody (Python) from Rice University and University of Michigan respectively.
