Asa Hamlin

Students Inside Albany at League of Women Voters

Asa Hamlin serves as the State Comptroller for YMCA Youth and Government, where they plan and govern the State Conference. As a Committee Chair, they oversaw and moderated committee debates while successfully passing legislation within a mock state legislature. As a Delegate at the Conference on National Affairs, they research, write, present, and debate policy proposals on US-related issues. Also, as a representative of the League of Women Voters, they shadowed the Hudson Valley legislative delegation at a statewide legislative conference. Currently, they work as an Assistant Teacher at Bet Am Shalom Synagogue and President of White Plains Youth and Government, where they guide members through the bill-writing process and provide training on parliamentary procedure.
