Alejandro Romo has a diverse range of work experience spanning several industries. Alejandro is currently serving as the Chief Human Resources Officer at Lean Solutions Group since February 2023. Prior to this, they co-founded and served as an Advisory Board Member at Latina Chief, a role they still hold. Alejandro also co-founded and was the President of Latina Chief Rising from November 2021 until February 2023.
Before their current positions, Alejandro worked at PepsiCo for a significant portion of their career. Notably, they held the role of HR Senior Director, Talent Acquisition LATAM from October 2015 to October 2021. In this position, they were responsible for leading the Talent Acquisition Strategy for LATAM, coaching nine direct reports and overseeing a total headcount of 95.
Prior to that, Alejandro served as the LATAM Talent Management Director & Andean-CARICAM Region HR Business Partner Head from March 2012 to September 2015, where they were responsible for the People Strategy of the company.
Alejandro also held various HR roles at PepsiCo, including HR Business Partner Head for PepsiCo Beverages Mexico from December 2007 to February 2012. In this role, they played a crucial role in designing a new organizational structure and successfully transferring PepsiCo talent to the GEPP bottling partner.
Before joining PepsiCo, Alejandro worked as the Training and Development Manager for Mexico from June 2006 to December 2007, where they led the development and execution of the Training Strategy for the company. Alejandro also worked as the HR Business Partner Operations Manager for Mexico from June 2004 to June 2006, where they managed the HR function for three manufacturing plants and implemented various HR strategies and processes.
Alejandro's earlier roles at PepsiCo include HR Corporate Manager for Mexico from July 2000 to May 2004 and HR Business Partner Sales Coordinator for Mexico from May 1998 to June 2000, where they provided HR support to the commercial division.
Overall, Alejandro Romo has extensive experience in human resources management, talent acquisition, talent management, training and development, and strategic HR planning at both the regional and corporate levels.
Alejandro Romo has a Bachelor's degree in Labor and Industrial Relations from ITESO Universidad Jesuita de Guadalajara, which they obtained from 1992 to 1996. Prior to that, they completed their high school education at Universidad de Guadalajara from 1987 to 1990. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in World Class Employer Branding from Employer Branding Academy in November 2020, and The Hogan Assessments Certification from Hogan Assessment Systems in August 2012.
