Ashu Gupta

Ashu Gupta has a long and varied career in the tech industry. Ashu began their career in 2000 when they founded F.U.S.E India Pvt Ltd., a company focused on creating software for the education industry. In 2004, they joined Riverstone Networks India Pvt. Ltd. as a Member Technical staff, where they contributed to the 1.0 release of ROS. In 2006, they moved to IXIA Technologies as a Software Engineer, where they were the lead engineer for IxLoad team and contributed to the 1.0 of 10G Emulation Card. In 2008, they joined Stoke Inc. as a Senior Staff Engineer- Team Lead. In 2013, they moved to Juniper Networks as a Staff Software Engineer. In 2015, they joined VMware as a Staff Engineer. Most recently, in 2019, they co-founded Lean Technologies and also took on the role of Director of Cyber Security at Cobalt Robotics, where they are responsible for building robots to change the physical security industry, as well as implementing and working on SOC2 compliance, NIST-800-53, Vulnerability Management, SIEM, HIDS, Secure coding, SonarQube, SAST, DAST, penetration testing, and Risk Management.

Ashu Gupta completed a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Computer Engineering from the University of Rajasthan. Ashu then went on to receive a Master of Science (MS) in Technology Management and CyberSecurity from Columbia University. To further their studies, they obtained an Advanced Computer Security Certificate from Stanford University. Gupta also holds four certifications from LinkedIn, which include CISSP Cert Prep: 1 Security and Risk Management, CISSP Cert Prep: 7 Security Operations, CISSP Cert Prep: 8 Software Development Security, and Learning Spring with Spring Boot, all obtained in November 2019.
