Lead Backend Engineer at Leanplum

Petar Petrov has a long history of working in software engineering. Petar began their career in 2003 as a Developer at SiteKreator.com. In 2005, they became a Senior Software Engineer at Tumbleweed Communications, where they worked on the Secure Transport product. In 2006, they were a Software Engineering Intern at Google. In 2007, they were hired as a Software Engineer at Google and worked mainly on cluster management. In 2010, Petar became a Senior Software Engineer at Everbread Limited, where they worked on and/or led a number of projects directly affecting Everbread's product. In 2011, they joined SonicMule, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer, helping to launch the very first version of Magic Piano for Android. In 2015, Petar began working as an Engineer at CTW Consulting, where they worked on airfare shopping and pricing for the Chinese state-owned TravelSky. Finally, in 2016, they became a Lead Backend Engineer at Leanplum, where they worked on petabytes scale analytics with Spark, Parquet, Hadoop, Kafka, Redis, Cassandra, and HBase, as well as DevOps-related work.

Petar Petrov has obtained a M.S. in Software Technologies from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski between 2005 and 2007 and a B.S. in Computer Science from the same university between 2001 and 2005. Additionally, they have obtained two Coursera Verified Certificates, one for Financial Markets in April 2014 and one for Introduction to Finance in September 2013.
