Vlad Butacu

Vlad Butacu is a DevOps Engineer at Leap. Vlad was previously a DevOps Tech Lead at Liberty Global from July 2017 to March 2022. Before that, they were a System Administrator at Viasat Group from March 2015 to June 2017 where they were responsible for SQL and Oracle database maintenance, GSM/GPRS communication systems monitoring, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery planning, scripting for backup and criticality management, and CRM with VOIP integration management. Vlad also configured Sophos Antivirus server with centralized deployment, implemented Active Directory across multiple locations with hierarchical DNS system and WSUS, created corporate Intranet Portal based on Alfresco platform, and designed and implemented monitoring platform based on Nagios Core. Prior to that, they were an IT Manager Assistant at System Evolution S.r.l. from January 2014 to March 2015. Vlad began their career as an Intern at System Evolution S.r.l. from May 2013 to December 2013.

Vlad Butacu has a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering from Politecnico di Torino and a Diploma di Maturità in Perito Informatico from Carlo Grassi. Vlad also has a certification from IBM in Docker Essentials: A Developer Introduction.
