Prior to this, they worked at the Maritime Museum of San Diego from 1999, where they served as the Director of Facilities/Chief Engineer. In this role, they were responsible for maintaining engine room/spaces and servicing internal combustion engines, as well as managing electrical and plumbing systems on all museum vessels. Additionally, Randy Ashman worked as a California Smog Inspector for the State of California/private contractor from 1994 to 1999.
Randy Ashman's education history begins in 1981 when they enrolled at San Diego City College and pursued a degree in Data Processing. Randy successfully completed their studies and obtained an Associate's degree in 1983.
Later, in 1994, Randy attended Bear Allen Modern Automotive Technology for a two-year program. During this time, they specialized in Engine Performance and Engine Electrical aspects of Modern Automotive Technology, ultimately becoming an ASE Certified Mechanic.
Additionally, Randy holds various certifications related to their profession. These include being an ASE Licensed Mechanic, State of California Smog Inspector, and a Journeyman Welder SWMSD. The institutions responsible for providing these certifications are the Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR), State of California, and a private contractor.
