About The Position

LeapFrog Investments (“LeapFrog”) is currently seeking a Finance Manager to enhance our finance team, located in Johannesburg, South Africa.  Given the small size of our team, this position will entail a proactive, hands-on approach, overseeing the daily financial operations of numerous entities within LeapFrog.  The Finance Manager will report directly to the Senior Finance Manager, playing a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our financial processes.  This position offers a unique opportunity to be intimately involved in the operational heartbeat of LeapFrog, contributing significantly to our strategic financial planning and execution.

What you will do:

• Produce monthly management accounts
• Produce quarterly accounts for statutory/compliance purposes
• Draft annual financial statements
• Assist with the annual budget process
• Manage the payroll function in conjunction with HR and external payroll service providers
• Oversee and assist the external auditors
• Review tax submissions, and other financial needs as necessary
• Load payments
• Post journals
• Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation

What we are looking for:

• Proven experience as a Financial Manager (minimum of 4-5 years excluding article experience)
• Chartered Accountant, CA(SA) (non-negotiable)
• Understanding of IFRS reporting
• Drafting financial statements
• Advanced level Excel skills
